Purnima Doley,17, an artisan belonging to the Mishing tribe residing in Panbari village of Golaghat district in Assam has completed her 10+2 and is now a part-time weaver who weaves for 2-3 hours a day. She takes a break from weaving during the rainy season and also during exams. She has eleven family members. She started weaving at the age of 13 who learnt the skill from her mother and has three looms in her household. Purnima along with other two family members are in the weaving business. Apart from weaving, she is also pursuing her education. She enjoys  the calm atmosphere of her village and the richness of her culture, however, according to her the quality of living in the village can be improved by raising an awareness about the various schemes of the Government.
