Anumai Doley,22, an artisan belonging to the Mishing tribe stays in Panbari  village of the Golaghat district in Assam pursued her education till the 10th standard and is now a full-time weaver who weaves for 2-3 hours a day. She does not weave during the rainy season due to the weather constraints. She is not married and is now pursuing a course in nursing. There are eleven members in her family. She started weaving at the age of 14 who attained the skill from her mother. She has three looms in her household. Anumai along with other two family members are in the weaving business. She loves the environment of her village and the unity among people, however, according to her the quality of living in the village can be improved by creating an awareness among the people about the various rights entitled to them and also the schemes provided by the Government.
